Recruitment campaigns and outreach

Targeted recruitment campaigns for a position, occupation, or talent market, with every public-facing piece approved by your agency and results reported by channel.

What a recruitment campaign includes

A recruitment campaign is a coordinated push toward one position, occupation, or talent market over a defined period. It combines direct sourcing with marketing: messages placed where the audience already spends time, measured so you can see which channels produce interested candidates. Career Consults runs campaigns with Henry Digital Marketing, our digital marketing parent firm.

  • Audience analysis drawn from the talent market research: who we are trying to reach and what they care about.
  • Channel plan across professional networks, association newsletters and job boards, email to opted-in audiences, targeted digital advertising, alumni networks, and community partners.
  • Recruitment content: mission-focused messages, position spotlights, and landing content that sends candidates to your USAJOBS announcement.
  • Approval workflow: every public-facing or Government-branded item goes to your contracting officer’s representative or designated official before release.
  • Tracking and analysis: reach, response, interest, and USAJOBS click-through by channel, with a post-campaign report and recommendations.

Why hires are not on this list

Applications, referrals, interviews, and hires depend on your agency’s decisions. They are useful program measures, and we will report them when you share the data, but they are not fair measures of contractor performance.

Questions about campaigns

Does paid advertising for Federal recruitment need special approval?

Paid placement is a cost your agency approves in advance, usually as a reimbursable or not-to-exceed amount. The content itself follows your agency’s communications and branding approval process. We never publish Government-branded material without that approval.

How long does a recruitment campaign run?

Most run 60 to 90 days around one position family or a set of related announcements. Always-on outreach for recurring hard-to-fill roles is handled as ongoing sourcing instead.

Can a campaign promote a job announcement that is open for only a short time?

Yes, if the pipeline is built first. Short announcement windows are the main reason to source before a vacancy opens, so interested candidates are ready to apply the day it posts.

Planning a recruitment support requirement?

We answer RFIs and sources-sought notices, and we brief program and contracting staff on how recruitment support can be scoped and priced.
